ODSC Europe 2022 is coming fast this June 15th-16th and we couldn’t be more excited to announce our lineup of keynote speakers. This year, there will be a hybrid approach as speakers will be joining us either in-person or virtually. Michael Bronstein’s work in data science is diverse and impactful. As a computer scientist, entrepreneur, investor, and professor, he has had an impact on just about every aspect of data science imaginable. In addition to his academic career, Michael is a serial entrepreneur and founder of multiple startup companies, including Novafora, Invision (acquired by Intel in 2012), Videocites, and Fabula AI (acquired by Twitter in 2019).

She is a member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, an IEEE Fellow and a EURASIP Fellow. Evaluating Generalisation in Natural Language Processing Models: Dieuwke Hupkes, PhD |  Research Scientist, Scientific Manager of ELLIS Amsterdam | Facebook AI Research, European Lab for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS) 

Dieuwke Hupkes is a research scientist at Facebook AI Research in FAIR. Her work centers around the evaluation of models of natural language processing (NLP), with a specific focus on how such models can show more human-like behaviour, where they fail and what are areas where they should still improved. In the recent past, she has focussed specifically on large language models (LLMs) and neural machine translation (NMT) models.

Towards Human-Centric Education with Artificial Intelligence: John Shawe-Taylor, PhD | Professor of Computational Statistics and Machine Learning | UCL Centre for Artificial Intelligence

John has helped to drive a fundamental rebirth in the field of machine learning, with applications in novel domains including computer vision, document classification, and applications in biology and medicine focused on brain scanning, immunity, and proteome analysis. He has published over 300 papers and two books that have attracted over 84000 citations.
