“Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Design and Visualization in the Era of Data Science”

Abstract: This talk presents the capabilities and functionalities of Cortana Intelligence Suite (CIS) to visualize different types of KPIs in the era of data science. CIS delivers big data and advanced analytics capabilities to help enterprises transform their data into intelligent action. As part of CIS, PowerBI is cloud-based collection of data access, data analysis, and data visualization tools on which a wide range of business reports and performance information can be visually conveyed to employees from the production floor to the boardroom. This talk outlines the basic requirements for a KPIs project, and provides a detailed definition of all major CIS components required to build an interactive and smart dashboard. Usability issues that need to be addressed prior to the design phase are presented and examples of customized visualizations are included along with a real demo of a dashboard itself.
