Reporting to the Professional Services Data Engineering Team Lead, the Data Engineer is responsible for delivering data services on-time and on-budget while meeting target billable utilization goals. You are an effective communicator, who can work successfully with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and clients at all levels of an organization. You thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and enjoy interpreting complex business requirements and database schemas.

As a Sr. Data Engineer, a typical day might include:

·         Developing and executing ETL packages to migrate data from various formats (Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, flat files, etc.) to Bullhorn’s database architecture in MS SQL Server

·         Developing complex, optimized T-SQL scripts for reporting in live environments

·         Performing ad hoc data updates

·         Analyzing foreign data sets

This job might be for you if have:

·         2+ years of writing queries, stored procedures, views and other database design work in MS SQL Server

·         ETL data development experience

·         Experience in client facing roles

·         Ability to work self-directed and as part of a team on projects of varying size; shows commitment to tasks, project, and to the team

Bonus points for:

·         Ability to write complex SQL queries that leverage built-in functionality such as pivot, cross apply, loops and recursive CTEs

·         Data analysis experience, with the ability to review a database and identify entity relationships and attributes without the availability of diagrams or documentation
