But now, a new app called, AIHelperBot, is selling itself as an AI-powered SQL expert that can build SQL queries in a matter of seconds.

According to the website, the bot’s overall goal is to help both developers and businesses write SQL queries faster to help them increase productivity. This app focuses on the fact that due to the time costs of writing complex SQL queries, allowing a bot to assist you can remove some of the most mundane and repetitive tasks associated with SQL work.

AIHelperBot works similarly to other AI code-assisting programs, such as Microsoft’s Co-pilot. Of course, to get the most out of AIHelperBot, the user would need to have a full understanding of the most fundamental aspects o database tables, columns, relationships, and of course quirks associated with database logic.

The way that this bot works is by using an APT from OpenAI. The input used can also be of a plain language description of what’s desired from the user. Currently, AIHelperBot supports several databases, including PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, BigQuery, MariaDB, etc.

Though the website claims that no SQL knowledge is required, to get the most out of the AI, some basic fundamental SQL knowledge would be best as it’s best that they understand the query produced by the AI. From the information provided, it seems that this tool works well assisting SQL developers not having to Stack Overflow information.

Another interesting feature is the snippets users create. While using this tool, one can create a library of generated queries for future use, or even share them with whoever you’d like to. Overall, AIHelperBot is another step in the direction of AI-powered data science.
