ODSC London wrapped up Saturday October 14th with close to 1,500 attendees passing through our doors. Not bad for just our second event in the city that never stops moving.

A couple of interesting factoids.  We had attendees from 58 countries attending with many of them from Europe ( thus the name!),  but strong representation for Asia and the Americas. The interest in data science and the opportunities continue to be global in scope.  Data scientists were in the strong majority, but IT professional attendance continues to increase.

We notices a 50% jump in attendees with a finance background this year representing 18% of our total audience reflecting the uptick in interest from the financial industry.

Some of the most popular talks were, not surprisingly, around deep learning,  algorithmic trading, anomaly detection, and automatic feature engineering.

Some popular surprise (from our perspective) were talks titled, Astronomical Trading,  Bayesian A/B Testing, and Data Science – Time for Professionalization?

If you missed London, ODSC West is coming up fast on November 2nd in San Francisco. Take advantage of our last remaining discount tickets here!

And on a more whimsical note here’s a quick ODSC Europe 2017 pictorial for those of you interest!
